Events

Site Waste Management Plan workshops

Envirowise will be running a series of SWMP workshops from January 2008. These events follow on from the DTI Voluntary Code of Practice and the last set of SWMP events in 2006/7.

The event objectives will be:

• To promote the benefits of SWMPs and to provide attendees with enough knowledge and information to produce and manage SWMPs themselves
• To illustrate the links between waste management and resource efficiency as part of a SWMP
• To implement and complete a SWMP

The workshops will be relevant to site engineers, managers, foremen and surveyors. It will also inform planners and contractors in general of their value in contributing to sustainability targets.
