This leaflet demonstrates the benefits to retailers of working in partnership with Envirowise and their suppliers, to identify areas where resource efficiency could be improved throughout the supply chain. In addition to general information on how these partnerships work and the importance of environmental issues in the supply chain, the leaflet details the experiences of key suppliers to seven major retailers in the UK, including Manchester United, Boots, Center Parcs and The Body Shop. The leaflet summarises how these suppliers have realised £2 million/year savings and lists the varied environmental benefits that have resulted from supplier action. It also lists simple actions that other companies could take to instigate their own supply chain partnerships.
