This leaflet provides food and drink companies of all sizes with an idea of the types of key performance indicators (KPIs) they could use to help them save money by improving their environmental performance. Many more suggested KPIs for the food and drink sector are given on the Envirowise website. The KPIs cover raw material use and re-use, cleaning chemicals, product, water use, solid waste, emissions to air, effluent, energy, packaging and transport.
