Many of the buzz words flying around society at the moment include "going green" or "environmentally friendly", but what exactly does it mean and how can you benefit from it? Positive Impact is a not-for-profit project set up to educate the event industry on "sustainability".
Envirowise are supporting these events, and speaking within the Onsite Sustainability and Energy and Emissions Workshops
Who should attend?
If you are a venue, supplier, meeting or event professional, this project will deliver practical guidance on how your company can benefit from sustainability through a variety of topics, from measuring waste to implementing the new BS 8901 management system.
This summer series will include the following 5 workshops
1 - Sustainability Certification
3 - Energy and Emissions
4 - Creating a Sustainable Destination
5 - BS 8901 Masterclass
2 - Onsite Sustainability
The workshop will address the key issues of waste. Delegates will learn about best practice within a venue and an event. Practical advice will be given on reducing waste overheads to increase financial bottom line.
An Envirowise speaker will focus on the key waste issues and legislation. We will provide practical advice on the challenges and benefits you can achieve by measuring your waste, such as reducing waste overheads to increase the financial bottom line and we will help to identify, remove and
