Many of the buzz words flying around society at the moment include "going green" or "environmentally friendly", but what exactly does it mean and how can you benefit from it? Positive Impact is a not-for-profit project set up to educate the event industry on "sustainability".

Envirowise are supporting these events, and speaking within the Onsite Sustainability and Energy and Emissions Workshops

Who should attend?

If you are a venue, supplier, meeting or event professional, this project will deliver practical guidance on how your company can benefit from sustainability through a variety of topics, from measuring waste to implementing the new BS 8901 management system.

This summer series will include the following 5 workshops

1 - Sustainability Certification

2 - Onsite Sustainability -This event has already taken place

4 - Creating a Sustainable Destination

5 - BS 8901 Masterclass

3 - Energy and Emissions

The Workshop will provide delegates with practical advice on reducing and measuring energy and event related emissions. Speakers will explain the potential future costs associated with carbon emissions and as the trend for carbon offsetting continues, explore what this could look like in the future for the event industry.

An Envirowise speaker will provide practical advice on resource efficiency through reducing usage and increasing efficiency and savings
