This Good Practice Guide is intended to help technical, environmental, retail and procurement managers working in retail stores in shopping centres and on the high street to improve their environmental performance by implementing a systematic approach to waste minimisation. The Guide describes a range of no-cost and low-cost measures to help retailers reduce waste in the key areas of packaging, water and energy. It is complemented by Increasing Profits by Reducing Waste in Managed Shopping Centres (GG324).
