EN452 Engineering profit through your supply chain
Working together in a supply chain partnership can bring substantial benefits to both engineering companies and their suppliers. This leaflet describes the success of a pilot project led by Envirowise to encourage engineering companies to work with their supply chains to improve environmental performance and increase profits. Three host companies, ABB Limited - Instrumentation, Mayflower Vehicle Systems plc and CP Desoutter Ltd, worked with their key suppliers to identify potential savings of approximately £304500/year, mostly through more efficient raw material use. The leaflet also outlines the support available from Envirowise to help engineering companies and their suppliers achieve similar cost and environmental benefits.
