The future prospects for UK Plc are the subject of an in-depth study commissioned by Envirowise. With expert help the University of Bath's School of Management, the study reveals the challenges and opportunities facing business in a world increasingly influenced by environmental issues.

In this three-phase study, Phase 1 focused on the changing business landscape, concentrating on:

• the regulatory environment;
• the influence of pressure groups and consumers;
• the impact of resource scarcity.

Can UK business cope with the challenges thrown up by the evolving business environment?
