Local Heroes: Envirowise sponsor an Environment award
Envirowise is recognising individuals in the Swansea community that demonstrate innovative approaches to resource efficiency by sponsoring a high profile environment award.
Swansea Sound, the first local radio station in South Wales, created the 'Local Hero Awards' in order to reward unsung heroes in the city. The general public can nominate their local heroes online, via Swansea Sound's website, and a panel of independent judges choose the winners. The Environment award is one of eleven categories that also include Contribution to the Community and Community Safety. The Local Hero Awards Ceremony will take place at The Dragon Hotel, Swansea, in April.
