Envirowise offers UK construction companies free, independent, confidential advice and support on practical ways to increase profits by being more resource efficient whilst complying with new regulations.
Since 2005, Envirowise has worked in Scotland with construction giant Laing O'Rourke to improve the company's green credentials. The company is currently developing a Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) project, which has already resulted in financial savings of £30,000 for the company to date.
Envirowise have produced The Construction Site Waste Management Guide. This good practice guide has been based on the DTI Voluntary CoP and is aimed at helping companies that have not yet used SWMPs to get started in advance of the potential introduction of regulations. This Guide is aimed at all sizes of company and all those associated with construction projects (sub contractors, architects, surveyors, suppliers, planners, etc).
