Monitoring tool
Before you can start to make savings, you need to know where and how much water is being used on site. The easiest way is to create a water balance for the site. Alternatively if you have already done this you can download the monitoring tool/s:
To record water consumption data and automatically generate graphs to illustrate trends the following Excel spreadsheets have been created:
- 5-day allows you to enter meter readings taken on weekdays. Download
- 7-day allows you to enter meter readings taken 7 days a week

- Weekly allows you to enter meter readings taken once a week. Download
The spreadsheets can be used to enter any single year's data for a maximum of five water meters. If you have more than five meters or operate a shift system, it is advisable to download more than one copy.

You need a copy of Microsoft® Excel to use these spreadsheets. For Excel 2000 and higher versions make sure that the Tools Macro Security setting in Excel is set to 'low' before you open any of them.
