Both online seminars help companies develop more sustainable designs that can minimise environmental impacts and save money.

A summary of the Question and Answer session from the webinar can be found here

The first held on Wednesday 8 October – 'An Eco-Design Overview' gave detailed, up to date information about commonly debated issues within the Design Industry.

Resource efficiency and eco-design experts gave presentations, including an overview of what eco-design means in relation to product and packaging followed by updates on current and future legislation.

Interactive product and packaging design demonstrations followed, illustrating how to develop sustainable designs whilst minimising environmental impacts throughout the product or packaging life cycle.

Finally a round table discussion summed up the day and gave results of the voting questions and answered more of the delegates questions live.

The second webinar held on Wednesday 25 February - 'Practical Approaches for Eco-Design' took participants through a practical workshop on eco-design to enable design teams to embed the principles of eco-design into their design process.

Resource efficiency and eco-design experts demonstrated real-life product and packaging re-designs and a round table discussion on good, bad and ugly examples of eco-design.

Voting determined the choice of product or packaging, which was then re-designed as a live exercise, helping to show principles of eco-design through product development processes.

Finally a round table discussion summed up the day and gave results of the voting questions and answered more of the delegates questions live.
