Implementing resource efficiency projects has enabled Yorkshire Window Company Limited to optimise the production process to minimise waste generation and improve efficiency. The benefits include disposal cost savings of around £9,500/year following the introduction of computer control for the frame cutting process, increased productivity through investing in new equipment, reduced labour costs, fewer rejects, improved health and safety, potential transport savings of £9,600/year through a new unloading system for glass and the waste recycling rate increased to 65%.
