| I can't see the red corners of cells which contain comments
Some cells contain comments - such cells should display a red corner and the comment text should become visible when the cursor is over the cell. If the red corners cannot be seen, or the text is visible all the time, go to menu item Tools / Options and select the tab View: under Comments, select Comment indicator only.

| Comments are visible all the time and obscure the page!

| A warning message appears preventing running of macros and hence loading Platewise
Platewise is an Excel worksheet that contains macros which allow the user to navigate from sheet to sheet. Users of Microsoft Excel 2003 and / or Windows XP may find they are prevented from opening such worksheet files. Users of Excel 2003 having this trouble should first start Excel before opening Platewise and on the menu, select Tools / Options, then select the tab Security. Then click the button Macro Security. Select the Security Level and select the Medium option.

| How do I document and archive several different applications?
The Platewise file is a standard Excel Workbook file that can be copied and re-named at will. Use File / Save As and give the file a name that reflects the application (for example East Lane Works - Nickel Line No1.xls.). Avoid using punctuation marks other than hyphens in the file name. The final ".xls" must be added unless your PC is set up to hide the suffixes. The use of folders is recommended to separate work on different plant and projects while allowing easy access to the files. The Print Setup is configured for the file name and sheet name to appear automatically on the header of all printouts. You can change the text and appearance of the header and footer, margins etc., but these changes will only apply to the particular sheet selected at the time. Each process sheet has an area reserved at the top that allows free entry of plant-specific data by the user. The default entry "Application notes" can be deleted.

| Tabs are not colour coded
Tabs at the bottom of the display may be used for navigation. Users with Microsoft Excel 2003 will see these in colour; those with Excel 2000 or earlier will see them in monochrome.
