Abstract
This publication contains 15 in-depth case studies of environmental good practice in hotels. All the hotels featured were nominated in the International Hotel & Restaurant Association Environmental Award 1995. The case studies demonstrate how simple but highly effective strategies and techniques can be adopted to realise substantial water consumption savings. Strategies covered include advising guests of your water minimisation programme, giving them the option not to have laundry/towels replaced and washed daily, and the fitting of low-flow showerheads and other bathroom fittings.
